F.A.Q

Q. I was told I need to replace my R.22 system because it has been discontinued. Is it true?

A. It depends on how severe the problem is, and the overall condition of the system. Most R.22 systems around L.A. are between 20~30 years old. R.22 Freon has been discontinued, however, there are substitute freons available for it and can be professionally and safely repaired. Sometimes, the repair costs don't justify fixing. We can inspect your system and provide repair or replacement options.

Q. Does higher SEER rating really help me save on utility bill?

A. Most customers notice a saving in their utility bill when moving up at least four or more SEER ratings. For example, there might not be much difference between a 14 SEER and 15 SEER, but moving from 14 SEER to 18 or more SEER will make a noticeable difference in most cases. Other factors such as lifestyle and home insulation play a key role in utility savings.

Q. Heat pump or gas furnace?

A. If you have solar, heat pump might be a better option since it entirely uses electricity for both cooling and heating.

Q. My current system is a gas furnace. Can I easily switch to heat pump?

A. Yes. Absolutely. If you currently have split or packaged gas furnace heating system, we can install you a heat pump system with ease.

Q. Which brand do you recommend?

A. Even though opinions might be very different, experience has proven to us that most brands within same price range and specifications (Apple to Apple comparison) will offer very similar performance, life span and warranty. However, moving to a higher spec system (Higher SEER or premium trim) will offer better performance.
